Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are praying to our Beloved Sai, to grant us the unique opportunity to visit Him and share in His Grace as a group. Consistent with our Lord’s wishes for and emphasis on personal transformation, the focus before, during and after this visit will be on the Sai Ideal Devotee, who understands that the goal of our spiritual practice is self-realization. To this end, our Lord Sai reminds us that…

“My Grace is proportional to your effort. Try to win grace by reforming your habits, reducing your desires and refining your higher nature. One step makes the next step easier; that is the excellence of spiritual journey. With each step, your strength and confidence increase, and you get bigger and bigger installments of Grace.”
- Golden Age p. 228

In preparation for this journey we suggest activities to help us understand what Swami has said He has come to give us and intensify our spiritual discipline in that direction in the months leading up to the pilgrimage. With Swami’s Grace, this commitment will guide the rest of our lives on the spiritual road back to our Divine Source.

We encourage everyone to follow through with the suggested activities with all the strength and intensity that Sai can bestow upon us! Remember that although the effort is individual, the commitment is one of a group. As such, the recipe for individual and group success is no other than “unity of thought, word, and deed.” Devotees who are not actually taking part in the physical pilgrimage in summer 2010 are welcome to take part in these activites.

May purity, patience and perseverance infuse all of our efforts and may our efforts bloom the love within…the only gift fitting and most pleasing to our Lord.

With Love and Best Wishes…Om Sri Sai Ram!
